I agree! It's open so it has to have passed. It's a nice and clean place.
Tuesday night with the very gifted Ali playing guitar and singing spanish favorites. Food is really good and pretty close to Authentic Mexican. I'm from Texas and love Mexican food. Atmosphere is low lit and very traditional, but upscale at the same time. It can get loud, BUT that is all part of the experience. Will return many times.
It was amazing. The staff was very welcoming and service was great. The food was undoubtedly 5 stars. We ordered fajita and shared between two people. Drinks were awesome too. So overall highly recommended place. 👍👍👍👍👍
Prices are pretty expensive for a Mexican restaurant. Service is great and the food taste good but be ready to have a big bill when you're ready to pay. Parking lot is clean but shared with the rest of the shopping center. Interior is clean and very decorative. 4 stars because $16 for two tacos is pricey.
They were extremely nice but I don't see how they're profitable being that slow. I waited 50 minutes only to get home and realize that two side items were missing; I should have checked even though it was a small order for three. If you have time to spare, the food was good.
Not very good, right below average. Waitress was nice though
I ate here before and really liked them. We ordered takeout. we ordered 2 meals for our keiki (2 and 5 year old) I confirmed they were keiki menu items. when I picked up the food they insisted there is no keiki menu items. (she didnt clarify on the phone when I placed an order). when i called back to Express my frustration at paying more for my 2 year old meal than any other, they told me they have a keiki menu but couldn't tell me what was on the menu. she put me on hold so she could get the manager and after several minutes she said the manager would call me the following day.... 3 days later they still haven't called me. so disappointed.
Had the street tacos had one of each they were delicious😃 had the Cadillac Margarita it was perfect😃 chips and guacamole was yummy😃 it was super busy but only took about three minutes to get a table🌴
The food is good. The staff is attentive and responsive. The restaurant is live with good background music. It is not the easiest place to find and driving into Kailua can be a challenge. Parking can be limited.
The food is fantastic, love the atmosphere. Met the owner and he seems like a really nice guy.
I really don't eat Mexican food, but the taco salad I ordered was very good. The waitress was so nice. The atmosphere was nice. I would go back to that restaurant if I'm in the area.
Great happy hour and enchiladas are good. I love the interior and the ambiance. Have been to this location twice now, it's a great little spot.
Great! First time there! My son eats here regularly. Took him for a special lunch! He is also a Security Officer at this site.
Mexican food and Hawaii are an odd-pairing; hard to be beach/surf bod-ready while regularly eating quesadillas, perhaps ... But Lindo will scratch the itch when it strikes. Their margaritas are particularly good. The food is a straight pitch down the middle; filling, non-inventive, does the job. Atmosphere is fun, but know that wait times can get long.
Good place for a standard Mexican restaurant. Island Margs, chips, queso, etc.
We have recently sold them some new equipment. Upon delivering the units there we were super happy with how clean they kept their kitchen. Staff was super friendly and willing to help. Food smelt so go we had to try some after the delivery and tasted great. I would definitely recommend trying this spot out.
Service was great, they really do have an awesome staff. The food is over priced for what you get. I can appreciate them adding a vegetarian meal but it is basically a burrito full of random vegetables and an odd salad of sorts on top. Yes, it meets the criteria of being vegetarian and without the cheese it is vegan but there is no imagination. No effort was made to actually make it taste good. It was such an odd combination that is was like eating gruel. It was sad considering I routinely eat at mexican restaurants and have zero issue with food quality. This was a first for me... Olives and edamame on top? .... Really? Maybe they left something out of mine which threw it off but either way, I paid $17 for a burrito that was sub par at best.
Decent, americanized mexican food. Horchata and Guava Margs are the bees knees.
Lively cantina with great food and excellent service.
Really good food, better Margaritas, amazing staff. Always a good time
Great ceviche, really good street tacos. Love this place when we're glamping at Bellows.
Yes! Omg yes! I have been looking for a good mexican restaurant since I got on island (over a year now) and almost gave up but decided to stop in this little gem today. I ordered the ceviche and then the mayan soup and nothing let me down! Even their chips and salsa were good! The price was perfect for the portion and the flavor was amazing. Literally the best Mexican restaurant I've been to here on island. I recommend it
Our server was great. The mushroom skillet was the highlight of the evening. Loved the casual atmosphere, but my order of chicken taquitos was bland.
The food is Great and the portions are fitting for the price.
Friendly, attentive and great service in a fantastic environment.
Food was fine (but with burnt steak inside a burrito). We had to wait almost an hour to get our food.
Food is not good. Cheese dip is just cheese melted on a plate for $11.50. Food does not taste mexican at all. Service is okay. Best part of the meal was my dr. Pepper. Grab taco bell down the street and you will leave happier.
Definitely the best Mexican food on the windward side. There is usually a way to get in but the food and service is worth it.
Very good service was great margarita fantastic
I've been here twice and I love it. Food is delicious and perfect after a day in the sun and sea. I would've given 5 stars but, out of all the wattress/hostess employees that served us (which I clearly remember from my last visit here were friendly and prompt) one stood out with an attitude towards our party. I've said hello & thank you with a smile as I did with am other employees and I get silence with a dash of nasty vibe. No name needs to be mentioned however, she needs to work on general correspondence skills with your patrons Mexico Lindo.
If you like real Mexican food don't even bother. I order the enchiladas Verde. Yea I've not ever seen a sauce so neon looking. The tamale was just stuffed with some kind of bland meet also covered with neon sauce. The margarita on the rocks was pretty much red water and something resembling tequila. Take my word in Hawaii don't eat Mexican food.
Still amazing food and service after all these years.
Loved this place! The food was great, you pay a little more but the portions are huge and you can definitely eat twice off one plate. The service was good and I like the decorations and atmosphere. I'll definitely be back to try one of the many margheritas they have to offer as well!
Lively Mexican restaurant with tropical flair. Usually always just come here for the lychee margarita and nachos, which was more than enough for two. Food is yummy and as you'd expect from a Mexican place. Location is good, as there are multiple dining options nearby in the event the line/wait is long, which it sometimes is. Overall relaxing place with fresh food. Stop by for a drink and enjoy some mariachi music.
Nice outside place with little or no disruption form staff ... we ordered they delivered that’s it!
Food is good. My wife likes the margaritas. Not a good place if you want a quiet time. Lots of noise.
Service was very slow. Server was friendly and attentive. Loud music and a party atmosphere, not good for conversations. Food was okay, there is better Mexican food elsewhere. You could tell the food was not fresh, especially the guacamole which tasted like it came out of a bag, definately not freshly made
Great food even better drinks.
Ok I’ll be real I like Mexican food but when I came here I was surprised. I wasn’t impressed the first time but the second time I did get the chicken taquitos and the steak fajitas and they were good. The margaritas are bomb tho and it’s always packed.
Worst attempt at Mexican food I have had in a long time. Nothing seemed authentic. It was overpriced. Chips and salsa from a jar and bag. Obviously not homemade. I pretty much left the rest of my meal on the plate. Not even edible. They need some serious lessons in what Mexican food is.
Food was ok but seriously the worst service I have ever had in my life. I had to get the menus and flatware for our table and it was literally two hours for four of us to eat. I think we saw our server three times during that period and we had to flag them down. The reason I say them is that there was no discernable order or assignment - it was different people. Kailua is in desperate need of a good Mexican spot. This could be a decent place if they had better service.
I had myself a tamale plate with rice and black beans and oh my gosh, all of it was so good! I would definitely go here again. The lychee margarita was also bomb af.
Awesome food. Great service. They offer Mexican style breakfast all day long. Seafood options as well as pork, chicken and steak. Their menu is very comprehensive. They offer a huge list of different margaritas either frozen/blended or on the rocks. The margaritas are pretty big. You really get what you pay for at Mexico Lindo.
The margaritas are top notch and can't miss out on their fried bananas dessert! The homemade chips and salsa alone could be a meal. Great portion sizes for the price especially since the fish and seafood are always fresh and savory
Excellent place in Kailua. Take advantage of their Taco Tuesday special at $2.50 each of street tacos (beef, chicken or pork) it’s delicious.
We're usually very satisfied but this visit maybe they were training a new cook. The burrito, chimichanga, beans, and rice were bland. Like no salt at all. The salsa was just tomato. Because the food was junk we didn't eat it all and didn't want boxes. The server didn't check back with us besides when our food was initially brought out, and our check sat on the table for well over 15 minutes because she was assuming someone else had already ran the card. We usually sit and chat and have more drinks. We will give them another chance, but consider this a strike.
Food was extremely delicious, never liked burrito but this place just change my mind. Steak Burrito!
Always enjoy dinner and Margaritas at Mexico Lindo over the past 8 months or so. The quality has gotten consistent and the help is friendly.
I went for lunch, the food was hot and beer cold and both came out promptly. The Chile Verde was a bit thin on the sauce and was not as flavorable as others I have had, however, it was enjoyable all ths same. They have a good variety of Mexican beers in bottles only. They also serve horchata, unfortunately I didn't realize this until I was leaving. Overall a good spot for a quick taste of Mexican food and drink.
Tasty and lively place! They were willing to seat me right before closing which was great. The portion sizes are enormous so be careful, no need to order extras...
Good taste & Nice staff🤙🏼
